In the beginning ...

The Titans, colossal, metallic-skinned gods from the far reaches of the cosmos, explored the newborn universe and set to work on the worlds they encountered. They shaped the worlds by raising mighty mountains and dredging out vast seas. They breathed skies and raging atmospheres into being. It was all part of their unfathomable, far-sighted plan to create order out of chaos. They even empowered primitive races to tend to their works and maintain the integrity of their respective worlds.

The Old Gods' armies were led by the most powerful elemental lieutenants: Ragnaros the Firelord, Therazane the Stonemother, Al'Akir the Windlord, and Neptulon the Tidehunter. Their chaotic forces raged across the face of the world and clashed with the colossal Titans. Though the elementals were powerful beyond mortal comprehension, their combined forces could not stop the mighty Titans. One by one, the elemental lords fell, and their forces dispersed.

After defeating the Old Gods of Azeroth, Titans brought forth peace to the world. The world was then formed and the first species were born, the very first being the mighty dragons. The Titans also gave 5 of the mightiest dragons powers to protect this new world.

The Night Elves awaken in the world and found a great society in the heart of Kalimdor. They tinker with primitive magic and inadvertently set it loose throughout the world of Azeroth. The demonic Burning Legion, lured by the resultant energies, launches a massive invasion in order to drain the world of its innate magic. The Night Elves, unable to defeat the raging Demons, are forced to ally themselves with the ancient Dragons in order to banish the Legion from the world. The ensuing conflict is so apocalyptic, that the great landmass of Kalimdor is broken apart and smashed beneath the sea. The Night Elves vow to never use magic again, for fear that the Legion would return.
