Constitution
The Constitution of the Imperial FistIF allows every member to have a voice.
- . Every Member, Senior Member and Officer is equal.
- . As a raiding member of IF you have access for endgame enchant materials from the guild bank. (sometimes even non-raiders)
- . As a member of IF you have access to items in the guild bank
- . A number of Imperial Fist members can vote for a termination of any other member. If the Guild leadership approves. (Current number is 10)
Raiding
Raid spots
Raid spots are handed out according to raid balance. Also we try to place certain raiders according to loot. Another major issue is getting a group that can handle the planned encounters, for example gear is an issue.
Passiveness in raids or unwilling equipping of character outside raid might also lead to subbing. Like we always say free rides do not exist..
Before the raid
- - Repair your gear before heading for the instance
- - If possible bring a spare gear with you
- - Pack at least one full stack of Super Mana and Health Potions
- - Pack a few Resistance Potions aswell. They might come in handy.
- - Bring with you an amount of Potion that buff primary Attributes of ur Class (i.e. Elixir of Brute Force)
- - Be sure to have lots of Bandages
- - Bring some food and/or water, sometimes there isnt a mage around.
- - Be sure to have sufficient supplies of beverages and food at ur disposal (cigarettes are only optional ) to keep the battle moral of yourself high
- - Warlocks bring soulshards for summoning/soulstones/healthstones.
- - Make sure that you make it to the instance in time
- - Keep raid chat free from chitchat
- - Most important of all! Do not allow yourself to slack, give 110% each time
Encounters
- - Main TankMT (or Tanks) must be very well equipped and knowledge about the encounters.
- - Curses and magical effects must be dispelled rapidly and without delay, otherwise they cause unnecessary damage.
- - All raid members must understand each boss fight; in certain fights one mistake can cause multiple deaths.
- - LOL alot - Listen, Observe, Learn
- - Use Addons such as CT Raid, DeadlyBossMod, NEnemycastbar, Threatmeters as Omen or KTM.
- - Thirdparty programs as Ventrillo or TeamsSpeak are also usefull. (Check /g for which one is currently used)
- - Listen to raidleaders, democracies does not work during battle.
- - Consumables are highly recommended and coming to a raid without atleast 2 selfbuffs is cheating your fellow raiders.
DKP
Short and sweet. As long as we can permit it we will avoid using dkp.
Epic's tend to bring an annoying little virus with them that can get people to go crazy. We have to balance what is fair to a person to what is fair to a group and of coarse what will be best for the guild. To say that some one is not allowed an item because he does not join often enough and that it is in the guilds best interest to give it to some one else might be best for guild progression but certainly is not fair. This is not the way we want to do things.
Loot distribution
Looting in 25 man raid will now be done by Master Looter. August 2007 Trash greens/blues will go to the guildbank which can then be used for enchanting purposes etc. Flasks for marks will be collected by Guild bank. These may then be distributed at a raid or provided as a reward to an event.
Epics will be on roll basis amongst those present. Although there will not be any real restrictions on rolling for an item there will be some considerations.
- If you already have received one or more items in the raid it is polite to pass for some one who has not and can use the item to the same extent.
- Consider if your guildies who have been long awaiting an item or have been outrolled many times before.
- If you do not intend on raiding very often it is not polite to try and grab as much loot as you can.
- If a item is not for your exact spec or you dont intend to use to improve the raid, it is polite to pass to someone who will.
- Use common sense and play with your heart.
- Main Tanks have a priority for tier items. This doesnt not mean we will only equip tanks first thou.August 2007
- Loot council will can deny someone from getting an item if they see it nessessery.August 2007
- Main characters have priority over Alt Characters, exeptions can be made for high equipped raiding characters.
Example Tank Druid:
- In a raid a dps ring drops which is an upgrade for my dps set.
- In the raid are also present a dps warrior and a rogue.
- Both are interested in the item.
- Although the ring is good for me and I could use it for pvp and grinding the warrior and the rogue would use such in the raid. :My choice would be to pass to them. The warrior knows it's the 4th time the ring has dropped and each time the rogue has lost the roll so passes as well and the rogue gets the ring.
If we all use a bit of common sense we can avoid going into a dkp situation. In extreme situations the officers may intervene and decide on some matter, but we would prefer to keep this at an absolute minimum.
Vortex's and guild crafters
BoP patterns and vortex's will primarily go to guild crafters. The Guild crafters will collect the items and try and keep a fair distribution based on attendance and need. Each Profession will have several guild crafters as we cannot expect the Guild crafter to attend every raid although 1 main crafter will be maintained to keep it sweet and simple.
BoE patterns will go to crafters who intend on creating the item. These items are not meant for the Auction house.
Vortex's for upgrades. If you need a vortex for an upgrade of a Blacksmithing item and wish to receive such then this is usually possible BUT inform the raid leader BEFORE the raid starts or you will be passed over. ( I say usually as in some cases some one might have been waiting a long time for another item which needs vortex's as well or they may be another exception. Also preferentially these kinds of items will be for raid upgrades primarily. )
All in all, lets make life a little easier on each other and roll with your heart and not with the greedy little devil sitting on your shoulder say "gief gief gief".
Initiates and Alts in raids
- Will get to roll if other members already have and the item is spare. Since we do hope we are equipping a future member.
- Mains before Alts. This rule will be enforced again. Exceptions can be made if the alt is a well geared fill in.
