The next World of Warcraft content update, “Before the Storm,” will include the new PvP Honor System, as well as other new features that will prepare us for The Burning Crusade expansion. Blizzard is currently planning to release this content update next Wednesday, December 6. Please note that the patch date is still subject to change, and they will keep you informed of any changes to the plan as they happen.

Eye of the Storm is an exciting new Battleground located in the Outland zone of Netherstorm that combines capture-and-hold style gameplay with capture-the-flag. The game pits up to 15 high-level Alliance members against 15 Horde counterparts in a battle over two floating land masses. These aerial islands are connected by three bridges. Additionally, four towers overlook the battlefield and serve as focal points for the skirmish, while a single, capturable flag spawns in the center of the map for the teams to fight over.To learn more about this upcoming battleground, check our Eye of the Storm information page.

There comes a time in every mans life where he comes to a fork in the road. He has to chose between two paths in his life.
Yesterday evening Narl with obvious pain in his heart was at this path. He left the world of Azeroth and returned the the land of the mortal men.

Narl has been a Member of Imperial Fist ever since the merger with the Darkthorne Offensive. He is one of the people that made it possible for the Imperial Fist to become what it is today. He is not only a great Hunter but a good friend. Many will look back on the time with him with pleasure and with good memories.

From all the Imperial Fist we wish you safe journies and pleasent experiences along the way. We can only hope that every now and then your path crosses that of our forums and you keep us up to date on the many intresting things which happen when you live life to Max.

You will be missed in Azeroth

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade will be in stores on January 16th, 2007 in Europe and North America! The news comes as the player base reaches 7.5 million players worldwide. World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade will be available at retail stores at a suggested retail price of 34.99€. A special Collector’s Edition of the expansion will also be available, at a suggested retail price of 69.99€. This limited-edition package will include the expansion on both CD-ROM and DVD, the Art of the Burning Crusade coffee table book, an exclusive in-game pet, a behind-the-scenes DVD, a World of Warcraft Trading Card Game starter deck and exclusive cards, a map of Outland mouse pad and the official soundtrack CD.

Blizzard will soon be bringing the Public Test Realms back up. To make this more fun they will be disabling PTR character templates! Yes, you heard right. For the first time ever we will be switching on the Character Copy functionality; Character Templates will be disabled for the PTRs.
Blizzard expects to have everything up and running the moment the PTRs go live, but there is a small chance they will need a bit longer to work out these glitches.

Since Blizzard has received many questions about the pre-expansion patch, they want to alleviate this confusion once and for all:

• Plan to release a content patch before the end of the year.
• This patch will include the new Honor system and talents, among other things.
• This patch will likely not be tagged as 1.13, however, we have not yet revealed a version # or patch name.
• This patch was originally slated to release just before the game launched, however, due to the delay a larger gap exists between the two.
• They do not provide release dates, as it’s disappointing to many when unforeseen problems prevent us from delivering. Again, we do plan to release sometime before the year ends.
